Birthday Cards

My step-mother is quite the bridge player – traveling for tournaments and such. Her birthday was a couple weeks ago. I created this card to celebrate her day.

The playing cards were created using different PTI stamp sets: School Time (the frame), Simple Little Things (ornament), and Trajan Monogram (letters).

The card base is embossed with PTI’s Giga Guidelines Impression Plate. I had to piece together the sentiment using different sets, but I’ve forgotten which. I did use an alphabet set to spell “slam” (that set was CTMH Sans Alpha, which is just a bit larger than PTI’s Simple Alpha – see).

Once I adhered the cards to the base, I decide to add the white border with a gel pen. I didn’t think it out too well or I would have placed the sentiment before drawing so that I could “leave space” in the line as I did for the card. They both needed to be treated the same – either gap-ed or solid. Next time šŸ™‚

Thanks for taking a peek!
