Sunshine in Water

It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge: #158 – sketch.

CC&S_2016-01-28_#158

And here is my take:

Sunshine in Water | by karen @ carefree creations

The front rectangle in the sketch was such an expanse, it was begging me to do a little watercoloring. I honestly don’t know why it took me so long to jump on the Distress Ink bandwagon, but I am loving these things…it really makes this sorta technique way easy!

I did not adhere the word die-cut fully. And I like how it feels a bit fun and carefree.

I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!

Thanks for stopping by!

A Little About the Challenge: This weekly challenge is posted on Thursday, and alternates between color and sketch (if there is a 5th week in the month you get the double dose of color & sketch).

Thanks

  1. Saw your beautiful, warm card on CAS and wanted to stop by to tell you how uplifting it is. Love that sunny glow.

  2. Love this one, so warm and sunny, Spring must be around the corner. It’s great when you can use non cas techniques and make them cas with the design, like this.

  3. I love that water coloured panel – so sunny and cheerful. And the subtle stitching detail around it is the perfect finishing touch. Caro x

  4. It’s so bright and cheerful as the others have said. I love it, it makes me smile and feel happy. And it makes me want to run after the distress ink bandwagon. Tomorrow, after I have a rest… Liz x

  5. Fabulous card Karen! Love the sunny watercoloring and the sentiment is awesome – great that you left is a little free, adds character.
