Posting the Mother’s Day card I created and sent to my mother-in-law.

The lanterns are paper pieced using handmade paper that I’ve had in my stash for ages – it has flecks of grass and fibers in it.

I pierced holes in the card base for the thread. Normally I don’t like stuff showing on the inside, but since there are now stray ends (or tape) on the inside, I’m ok with this.
