Orangey Fab Day

Last week’s CAS challenge (cas64) was to create a birthday card using orange in honor of Jen’s birthday. I knew I wanted to use this stamp set, but the layout of the card I wasn’t sure. I found a sketch at another favorite site – Clean & Simple Stamping (ftl85).

Fabulous Day
Stamps: Finding Beauty (CTMH); Signature Greetings (PTI);
Ink: Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado (PTI);
Paper: Lemon Tart, Ripe Avocado, Spring Moss Bitty Dot DSP (PTI);
Other: Summer Sunrise ribbon (PTI); Large Scallop die (PTI);
Technique: Long/Tall card

  1. Lovely; I love the colors and that sentiment set is one of my favorites!

  2. Very nicely done!

    The shape of your card reminded me that I still have some of those SU Long Notes cards that I ought to dig up and use sometime.

  3. Oh, yeah . . . long is a good card shape too. I’ve got to remember that! Really pretty, Karen, and I like the CTMH stamps!

  4. Your color choice is just so pretty. And I’m just a sucker for polka dots so I love the patterned paper and ribbon on your card. I love the size/shape of your card and really need to make some this size myself.

  5. Ooh, love your color combo – orange, brown & green. Love the polka dot ribbon on polka dot background, scallops & flowers. The design rocks on this long elegant looking card!

  6. It is a beautiful image and goes so well with the rest of the design. Like many others, I’m a fan of the color combination as well.
