New Driver

As I’ve already said, my nieces and nephews are getting older – some, old enough to drive. I made this card for a nephew who recently took the driver’s test. I used a sketch from CPS (174). It was a lot of fun figuring out how to put the pieces together.

Maybe others have already figured this out – but one thing I learned with this card is that it is much easier to stamp the solid car after you’ve stamped the outline.

You Did It
Stamps: Enjoy the Ride (PTI);
Colors: Soft Suede, Really Rust, Not Quite Navy (SU); Black, Cream (PTI);
Other: star punch, star brad (SU); car die (PTI); DSP (SU);

  1. So cute–you know I love this lil’ bug!! I still haven’t had success in stamping the solid car either before or after the outline! I love your fun-but-still-CAS layout!

  2. Great card for your nephew! I’ve not used the solid piece, just the car outline…so thanks for the tip.

  3. Perfect card for a teenager learning to drive! I’ll have to keep that in mind for my own son in about 18 months – yikes!

  4. Love this little car and you did a great job with it. It’s kind of sad to realize that both my kids and all my nieces and nephews have been driving for a while.
