Saved?

This card began a few days ago for a ‘white space’ DTGD challenge I started this card with a simple box, sentiment and crocheted flower. Then I got the “brilliant” idea to lightly sponge white craft ink inside the box to help set it off. But that just felt unfinished. I set it aside for a couple days and thought I should add some sort of stamping on the inside to help detract from the sponging.

Then another DTGD challenge was posted – a CAS challenge to use tone on tone stamping. So I had to pull this back out and give it a second chance. It definitely improved, but I still think it is a bit off.

So, as a pair of fresh eyes, what do you think – did I save it?

A big thank you (THANK YOU!) to J for sharing her crocheted flowers with me!!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I think it’s a save, Karen! That tin-type just looks fabulous and adds to the vintage-y feel of that gorgeous crochet flower! Love, love, LOVE how you made your line match up with the crossing of the “t.” Fabulous work!

  2. I love this, Karen! Clean, simple, with a splash of that lovely coral color from the flower. Makes me want to use the crocheted flowers I’ve been hoarding!
