Vintage Thoughts

I made this card for the Embellish Magazine challenge (Vintage).

I had originally intended this card as a one-layer card but I stamped the leaves too low and it left way too much ‘white’ space. So I chopped up the card and added a bunch of details. I do like how this turned out finally.

The thread I used is a Coats & Clark color called Spice. It is a wonderful reddish brown. My purchase was done online and I added this color just to fill up my basket for free shipping. It makes me happy that I used it!

A big thank you to my aunt who sent me a bunch of old lace – of which I used a bit on this card.

  1. You did a great job with the challenge colors. I thought they were fun, but a little outside my normal range of colors. Your card turned out great! The reddish stitching is the perfect touch!
