Thanksgiving Waltz

October’s Waltz theme is thanksgiving. That is my favorite holiday. It has also been a long time since we all got together – but it is happening this year…I’m so looking forward to it!!

I knew right away which stamp set I would use – Teeny Trees. I love that set but it doesn’t see enough ink! The font combination for the sentiments is great. And hey, there’s even a thanksgiving sentiment in the set, so it was meant to be!

I knew I wanted a plaid pattern at the top so I dug through my paper and found some old StampinUp paper. Even though the paper is green and blue I wanted the trees to have fall foliage. I think the brown flourish helps tie the card together.

The layout uses Iwona’s sketch (ssc33). And with the touch of burlap behind the corduroy button, the card also has Moxie Texture.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving

  1. Love your teeny trees, and I love how well that little flourish works to tie the top to the card, I love the texture of the button too! Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. Oooo, I love the flourish sprouting from the button…you are so right, it packs a punch with this design! Your trees are delightfully stamped with the leaves in the colors you chose. Such a sweet Thanksgiving card!

  3. So I don’t forget, first off that burlap behind the button was so great. I love the texture it adds to your card. Now, the teeny trees in those fall colors was a great choice of stamps for this card and that flourish at the top, perfect! Loved the bright color choice of patterned paper too.

  4. Lovely card! Those trees are wonderful – wow, I love autumn. And the burlap is a great touch!

  5. Hey Karen! Thanks for linking this up to the Textured to Perfection challenge in the Moxie Fab World! I’m so glad you joined in on all the fun! 🙂
