Thanksgiving Simplicity

by karen @ carefree creations - Gradient Leaves

Finishing up my Thanksgiving cards, I used the latest challenge as Less is More to do a one layer thanks card.

I decided to channel my inner Susan Raihala to make a one-layer card.

To be a Susan-inspired card, it needed to be perfect, so I pre-stamped on my grid paper to determine just the right size. Then I used a ruler and pencil to draw a grid on my card stock.

I suppose I should have done 3 leaves per row, but I chose to do only 2 so that the leaves were within the sentiment.

I did trim the card to 4 x 5 1/2.

Thanks for taking a peek!

happy thanksgiving

  1. Simple, but so pretty! I love the colors you’ve used for the leaves! I wished i could create such beautiful simple cards!!

  2. Two in a row is just fine, you have three in a column. I love the simplicity of this design and the colours. Great card.
