Have a Hoot

I made this card for the CAS challenge (cas66) which was to use Kelly’s card as a sketch.

After perusing my stamp sets, I settled on the owl image and everything else just fell in place. I stamped the owl on PTI Rustic paper before I thought about how I was going to color it. I opted to use my Copics. Unfortunately I don’t have any brown markers yet, so I used the Artichoke trio.

The moon is Lemon Tart paper that has white sponged on one side and orange (whatever color was on my “orange” sponge) on the other side. I also used the Wood Impressions plate along the top, but you can’t see it in the picture. I had a hard time coming up with a sandwich since I don’t have PTI’s mats.

  1. I love how the owl turned out – glad you didn’t have browns in your stash. Makes him look more unique. Great color combo.
