I created this card for the May Flowers CAS challenge on SCS (cas65). I had already stamped my Mother’s Day cards when I checked out the challenge, but I always need “thank you” cards. I actually stamped this and then set it aside for a week because I didn’t like how it finished up. I’m so glad I did. I’m much happier with this result.
I bought Awash with Flowers when it was first offered and I hadn’t inked it up, and I’ve been quite inspired by the cards I’ve seen using it. Next time I use the set though, I will probably watercolor. I don’t mind that the solid images don’t fit completely, but the one image (middle pink) just seems really wonked – maybe I just need to play with it more.
thank you

Ya crazy, girl? I love the card! The embossing, the colors, the stamping, the graduated coloring and the bling. I think it’s neat that the color doesn’t fill the entire stamp just so – gives it a fresh take, I think. š
the color combination is beautiful and I like that the flowers have a white “ruffled edge” to them
I love this soft color combination; so lovely.
This is pretty, Karen! Love the colors!!!
i like the way this worked out too. i agree with the center flower… and your coloring is amazing so i know you can make it look fantabulous!
