Monday’s technique challenge on SCS was hinged cards. I’ve been seeing those for months but never got around to trying them. Well, when I saw Julie Campbell’s card, I knew I had to give it a try! I loved the idea of something besides a sentiment being displayed when the hinged layer is pulled.
Deciding what stamp set to use to create the surprise was a challenge. But thankfully the new PTI bird set was on my desk. I used one of the flying birds to create the surprise behind the birdhouses – and then used the sentiment “Flying by to say hi”, which I thought was clever 😉

So cute, Karen! I love these fresh, springy colors.
This is adorable!!!!! I love that hinged style and you did a marvelous job with it and the birdhouses.
