Sending My Love

This card started as a combo challenge card: a color/theme from Embellish magazine (hearts), and a sketch challenge from CPS (CPS148).

I found the gem heart in my stash of old stuff and decided to use it. As I was trying to get the layout to work for me, I noticed the sketch has extra space along the sides and I immediately decided to do a fold flap. Then as I was putting it together I realized the center accent really looked better off-center. Not sure this still qualifies for the sketch, but it is definitely where the layout began.

The inside is actually a pull-out. The red side is what shows when it is put together, and the white side (where writing can go) is hidden when put together.

I originally did the punch on the white layer and offset it to achieve the top border, but that didn’t look nice. Instead I traced the border and just trimmed the top.
