Jen, the hostess of the CAS challenge on SCS, is looking for the next design team. The challenge (Sum2010CAS1) was to have a person as your focal image. I only have a few people type images – most of them Bellas. The theme for this design call is amusement park. As soon as I saw my HuggyBella image I thought it looked a lot like a photo they take when you go to an amusement park.
The other requirement for the card was to use fun/funky ribbon. This ribbon is about as funky as my current collection gets – and I thought the colors in it would be good for the image. I had to keep the card simple, which actually wasn’t too hard since the Bella image is so big.
I wasn’t sure what to do for a sentiment, but this one also fit the amusement park theme quite well. It was too long to just stamp directly on the background, so I did this fun flag – even using a paintbrush handle to add curves. Again, this calls in the amusement park feel.
Thanks for taking a peek!
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento); Copics & SU Markers to color;
Paper: Black, White, Hawaiian Shores (PTI);
Other: ribbon (?); photo corner punch (SU); Texture Plates #4 (Sizzix/SU);
Ooh, this is a cool card. The stamped image and the banner make it fun! Gotta love bellas. Good luck on making the new DT!
This is too cute, Karen! Good luck!!!
I love the flag for the sentiment. Very amusement park-ish. Good luck making the design team.
This is adorable! I love your colors!
Oh, I love those bellas! They *do* look like an amusement park photo! I hope you are chosen for the design team, Karen!!
That ribbon is funky and fun and I would use more of it! Great coloring too!
