Wonderful Mom

This card is for my mom. And like most cards I make for her, a StampinUp Demo, I wanted to make a card using current products only. I started out wanting to do the watercolor technique that was popular not to long ago. Of course I couldn’t find my bookmark, so I faked it – but I didn’t get the same results. I probably should have stuck with regular watercoloring. 😀

The Top Note die started out as plain Pretty in Pink paper, but it was too plain, so I markered the edge with my Rose Red marker. Then I decided it needed pattern paper. Nothing like retro-fitting!

I finished up the card with a few leaf dies, a ribbon bow, and a little pearl.

  3. Karen, that Top Note die is fabulous! SU, huh? I’m going to have to track one down, lol! Really lovely card, and I see in the comment above that your mom loves it! The pearl in the flower’s center is just the right touch.
