Berry Spirals

The PTI Senior Design Team challenge this month was to use the old Spiral Bouquet set. I bought that set when it came out and have used it a few times – but not in a long time, so I thought I would play along.

I stamped the solid flowers directly on the card base. Then I used the spiral images over top and heat embossed glitter powder. For something different (at least from my normal), I used the Mat Stack 2 die for the sentiment.

I tried my hand at ruffled ribbon and um, it is harder than it looks, lol. I’m hoping it is just because my ribbon is so wide. I think I’ll have to try again with thinner stuff.

  1. Very pretty card, Karen! I like your ribbon treatment, and I agree with you, pleated ribbons are not as easy as they seem! I love the Spring Moss and Berry Sorbet combination and the fun background detail on the bottom portion.

  2. Love this card, Karen! (I tried to make a card tonight with the same colors and stamp set–didn’t happen, maybe tomorrow?) Anyhoo, the Mat Stack 2 looks great for your sentiment, and the ribbon–well, if my experience is anything to go by, it *is* harder than it looks, LOL! You did very well, IMHO. Love your glittery touch!
