This week’s CAS challenge at SCS is about sympathy cards (cas91). Unfortunately, I needed to make one. I know I should have sympathy cards on hand because it is so hard to make them when I need them, but at the same time, I like making a card while the receiver is on my mind – kinda like weaving the love into the card.
I knew I wanted to keep it very neutral and calming. I just purchased the Life stamp set and decided to ink it up. When it came for choosing the ink, I was debating between Sahara Sand and River Rock. I ultimately chose River Rock because it is a warm shade, whereas Sahara Sand is cool.

This is such a wonderfully peaceful card, Karen. I think the River Rock was the perfect choice, and that embossing adds the just the right touch.
This card is definitely serene. The soft colors are so beautiful and relaxing. The wood grain i the background is the perfect touch.
Just gorgeous. I love the color combination, it is so soothing.
