My sister-in-law’s birthday is next week and I needed to make a card. I almost always start with a sketch – and this one I used a retro sketch (rs36). Then I selected my pattern paper – an old one from Stampin’Up. Then I selected my flower image (by Papertrey Ink).
The flower is stamped 3 times on More Mustard card stock and then colored using Copics (YR65, E08, E19). I only colored the parts that would be showing – so the bottom layer only has the outer most petals colored. As a final touch I added some gold Spica glitter pen to the top two flower layers.
This card was created using the Retro Sketch challenge (rs36).
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Birthday

This is beautiful Karen! I love the coloring on the flower. The touches of glitter add great visual interest.
LOVE love LOVE this card. The mix of patterned papers and that stunning flower that is coloured SO perfectly. Your card really caught my eye in the RS gallery.
