Watercolor Easter Eggs

Watercolor Eggs - by karen @ carefree creeations

Squeezing in another challenge card. This time for CAS(e) This Sketch #116.

I decided to play with my distress inks. I really don’t know what I’m doing, lol. I smooshed the ink onto my craft sheet and spritzed it with water. Then used that to ink my stamp. I do like how they turned out, but not all of the eggs got a good coverage of ink…but I suppose that is the nature of the medium.

I kept the rest of the card simple. A frame made from Stitched Square dies. The grass is done the same way as the eggs, except instead of a stamp, I just dragged the paper through the inky mess on the craft sheet. A final touch is a bit of Wink of Stella clear on the white parts of the egg (can’t see it well in the photo).

Thanks for taking a peek!

  1. Cute card Karen! I loved the framed eggs with the touch of grass underneath. I need to put my distress inks and markers to use like this.
