It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge: #156 – sketch.
And here is my take:
I don’t know what happened, but my mojo went on vacation a couple weeks ago and hasn’t been seen since. This card took a few iterations, and I finished it just in time!
I die cut an oval aperture from the purple cardstock. That, and the strips of pattern paper are attached to a white card base. The sentiment is stamped directly on the card base.
I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Thanks for stopping by!
A Little About the Challenge: This weekly challenge is posted on Thursday, and alternates between color and sketch (if there is a 5th week in the month you get the double dose of color & sketch).
Ink: Royal Velvet, New Leaf (PTI); Daffodil Delight (SU);
Paper: Winter Wisteria cardstock & pattern, White (PTI);
Other: Oval die (Spellbinders); Bitty Bouquets die (PTI); Rhinestones (Kaiser);
Karen – I think your mojo returned home!! I love the patterned paper edges and the flowers instead of a circle is awesome. Liz x
I agree, your mojo is back where it belongs! Love your patterned edges and the font of the Happy Birthday is gorgeous. The rhinestones bring just the right touch of bling, too. Caro x
So my colours! Love the addition of those paper strips and the contrast of the yellow flowers.
I like that you’ve substituted flowers for the small circle element. The patterned paper reminds me vaguely of whipstitching, which is a fun touch. The colors and tulips give a nice breath of springtime to your card in the middle of January! 🙂
Oh no! Can’t believe I missed out commenting on last week’s cards! So sorry. I love purple but rarely use it for my cards, here it looks beautiful.
