Be Mine, Valentine

It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge: #159 – colours.

And here is my take:

Valentine | by karen @ carefree creations

When I first saw these colors, I thought about the conversation hearts that are appearing everywhere this time of year.

I added a few clear embossed hearts to link the hearts together, and then some sequins to add some dimension and sparkle. I ended up covering most of it, but I like how the embossing powder darkens the color hearts a tad.

The die cut sentiment is two layers.

I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Super sweet hearts! Do you have loveheart sweets in the US? Your card reminds me of having to eat all the way through the whole packet just to get the ones I wanted.

  2. My first thought was the same as Jane’s: your card reminds me of ‘Lovehearts’! Love the addition of the clear embossed hearts. Stef x

  3. That’s such a fun flirty card. I’m with the others – they remind me of those sweets so much that I can pretty much feel the tingle on my tongue. Liz x

  4. The clear embossing is a subtle but fantastic way to link the colored hearts together! And yes, they are very much like the candy conversation hearts!
