It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge:
And here is my take:
I had these frosted border dies cut for another project that didn’t work out. When I saw this sketch, I knew they would be perfect!
Simple, simple card – it took all of 5 minutes to put together!
I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Thanks for stopping by!

Simple but stunning! Great use of the die cuts and sketch. Hugs Bev x
Those frosted border die cuts look so like icing on a fancy cake and I love how fresh they look against that lilac cardstock.
I agree with Jane – the frosted border really looks like icing on the cake. I love that you scalloped the edges of the lilac so that it looked even more cake like somehow. Liz x
Awesome frosting elements! And the colour combo reminds me of cake too! Lovely card, Karen. Caro x
Another one who is feeling peckish after seeing your creation! Looks like a perfectly iced birthday cake – would be fab to pair it with a matching cake!
I’m cracking up here because my first reaction to seeing your card was “it looks like a cake!” 🙂 I like how you alternated the direction of the scallops.
And now I have a taste for cake…
Love it when a great card comes together in a few minutes, it’s a win win situation!
