It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge:
And here is my take:
Ack, copper as a color?!? I had to dig out my ancient embossing powder and hope it still worked! Thankfully it did! I don’t have much luck with embossing powder staying good for long.
I used the copper for the sentiment, apple seeds, and apple stem (I know in the photo it looks brown, but if I got the shine then the rest of the card was off color, sigh – one day I may learn how to take photos).
I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Thanks for stopping by!
A Little About the Challenge: This weekly challenge is posted on Thursday, and alternates between color and sketch (if there is a 5th week in the month you get the double dose of color & sketch).
Ink: Scarlet Jewel (PTI); Garden Green (Stampin’Up);
Paper: White (PTI);
Other: copper embossing powder;
Technique: one-layer card; embossing;
Really sweet card & sentiment. And copper is a sort of brown & photos never seem to do justice to metallics.
LOVE the CAS simplicity of your card, beautifully done. Hugs Bev x
Your little apple is just too cute! You’ve made a fabby one-layer card!
I know the feeling about the embossing powder, too – although in my case I’m also wondering if my copper ink pad is going “stale”.
