It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge:
This is the fifth Tuesday and so it is a Timeless Tuesday double challenge. One of the ideas behind the “Timeless Tuesday” challenge was to bring back retired colors paired with a past sketch. I love, love, love Sage Shadow so I knew I would definitely use it in my first Timeless Tuesday challenge.
Here is my take:
Sage Shadow is one of my favorite colors, mostly because it is perfect for succulents. I do not have a green thumb, and Colorado isn’t the best place for succulents, so I don’t have any around me, but I do like to stamp them.
The succulent is 3 layers. The bottom layer was die cut, the other two were hand cut. I originally stamped on white, but it was too stark. I ended up with a pale cream that goes well with the orange colors.
I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Thanks for stopping by!
A Little About the Challenge: This weekly challenge is posted on Thursday, and alternates between color and sketch (if there is a 5th week in the month you get the double dose of color & sketch).
Ink: Peach Parfait, Dusty Durango, Sage Shadow (Stampin Up – SU);
Paper: Rustic White (PTI); Peach Parfait, Dusty Durango (SU);
Other: Super Succulents die (PTI); Square Lattice embossing folder (SU);
And your card looks very retro and timeless too! Great combo Karen.
LOVE these succulent stamps and they are perfect for both the sketch and the colours, beautifully done. Hugs Bev x
Love the way you combined the colors, Karen. Great texture and stamping!
I love the layered succulent and with the embossing in the background it gives your card so much beautiful texture.
