This is the first of three Mother’s Day cards I’ll be posting. I bought this anemone set ages ago, but hadn’t used it yet. I had fun playing with color combos (I’m keeping the play paper with the stamp set to save time in the future).
As usual, I’m not sure I stamped the flower layers correctly, but I like how it turned out none the less. I used all the individual pieces, but used the large bouquet as my guide for layout of the flowers. Originally I was going to have flowers above and below the sentiment, but I started too far down.
I did add some yellow to the center of the flowers and that lead me to use it for the frame. It is a color I wasn’t sure I would like (Papertrey’s Saffron Spice), but it is a wonderful color and I can see myself using it a lot in the future.
Thanks for taking a peek!
