It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge:
And here is my take:
I had so many ideas for this sketch! I went through my stamp index and found lots of images that would work, but this idea stuck with me the most!
The glasses are die cut from vellum. I used some clear dimensional adhesive under the “liquid” to adhere the glasses to the card.
I sorta wish I had stamped the sparkler higher on the card a bit, but since it still turned out well, I’m good with it!
I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Thanks for stopping by!
A Little About the Challenge: This weekly challenge is posted on Tuesday, and alternates between color and sketch (if there is a 5th week in the month you get the double dose of color & sketch).
Ink: Brillance Graphite, Delicata Golden Glitz, Versamark (Tsukineko); Espresso Truffle (Momento);
Paper: White (PTI); Vellum (stash);
Other: Double-Ended Banner die (PTI); Filigree Gold embossing powder (Stewart);
What a fabulously creative take on the sketch!!! I LOVE this. Fantastic New Year’s creation.
Hi Karen,
Totally fun, this is! I can almost hear the glasses clink and feel the bubbles going up my nose. Great card!
ADORBS, Karen!! Love your take on the sketch. What a fun stamp. Your New Year’s card is way ahead of the game! Hugs, Cathy
Your New Years card is so clean and pretty, just perfect 🙂
Beautiful card Karen! So fresh and fun! Thanks for the inspiration!
I love how you have used the sketch – this is so fun and very creative!
Simple and elegant – great job! And really, clear dimensional adhesive? Spill the beans on that one, girlfriend!
The clear dimensional adhesive is by Kool Tak. You still have to hide it behind stamping, but I find it tons better than glue and the best part is if you have just a bit of stamping and lots of “open” vellum, you can’t see the adhesive if you tilt the card because it is clear.
A fun take on the sketch. Love it.
Awesome card, love how you’ve stamped the glasses on vellum and a perfectly executed interpretation of the sketch. You truly inspire me every week. Hugs Bev x
