And here is my take:

I picked out a few stamp sets that would work for this sketch and then had my oldest pick the set to use. They chose the lanterns and asked that they glow. I decided to do a soft glow using chalk.

Since the handmade paper the lanterns are stamped on is off white, I pulled out an old bottle of Vanilla embossing powder to do the line and sentiment.
