It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge:
And here is my take:
Started out thinking I’d do a galaxy, but I suck at that technique. I was able to pull off a sunset.
To start, I made faint pencil dots on my watercolor paper to help me know the boundaries of the opening of the die. Then I painted on the colors, let it dry, and added another layer of color. Once that was all dry, I watered down some white acrylic paint and did some splatters.
I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Thanks for stopping by!
A Little About the Challenge: This weekly challenge is posted on Tuesday, and alternates between color and sketch (if there is a 5th week in the month you get the double dose of color & sketch).
Ink: Black (Palette);
Paper: white (PTI); watercolor (Canson);
Other: Forest Sunset die (Hero Arts); watercolors; white acrylic paint;
My goodness Karen, this is a showstopper and a half! Love the colours used in this way and wow, what a die! The sentiment is perfect too. Vicky x
Between the die cut and the watercolored background, this sunset scene is AMAZING! Stunning job, Karen!
