My mojo is on vacation (if you didn’t guess by my lack of posts last Tuesday). I sat down on Saturday to make my cards for future challenges, and this one came out – but it is for two challenges (I know, not that big a deal, but since I’m on the DT, *my* preference is to post unique cards…this is my post of shame). Without further whinging…
It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge:
As well as time for a new CASology challenge. Check out the latest challenge – PLANT!
And here is my take:
So my process when making DT cards is to (virtually) pull out a bunch of stamp sets that I think will work for the challenge and then look around for inspiration (generally at my own cards with those sets or google image searches for cards using that set). This time, I found a card I did a while back and it just totally fit the sketch and theme for this week’s challenges. Being half-awake meant I took up the challenge and faced down the shame to make 1 card for 2 challenges. [Again, I have no problem with combining challenges, it is just *my* preference not to do it when making cards as a DT member…alas, sometimes the brain just says !@#$%^]
Not only did I get lucky being able to remake a past card, but I had an already-stamped orchid piece (and, bonus, on the back past-me had written the colors used to stamp it – thank you, past-me!!).
I hope you join [one or both] of the challenges!
Thanks for stopping by!

Lol Karen, chin up, no shame required!! This is absolutely beautiful! I love the sentiment half framed with those gorgeous layered orchids and they’re grounded perfectly on the three lines. Clever past-you to have given yourself notes too!
This is fab Karen, love the background stripes, the colour really works well with the lavender and what a joy being able to use for two DT cards. I like you tell us your process….nothing like mine….the challenge for me just mulls in my mind until an idea strikes me….but I like what you do and am going to give it a go x
This is beautiful! And just because you use things you created pre challenge doesn’t make it any less “you”. It’s actually quite smart. š
I get what you mean about wanting to do separate cards for your DT challenges but sometimes when the the mojo packs up on us we just have to do what we can! This card is a beauty and I’m glad I’m not the only one who looks back at my older cards for inspiration when I’m struggling.
