A Birthday Waltz

It is the 17th of the month, which means it is time for a Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz (much more dignified than hopping, eh? 😉 ). The theme for this waltz is “birthday”.

My mother-in-law has a birthday coming up in August, so this is a perfect opportunity to make her card! I love the Asian Garden stamp set, so that was an easy choice. I wasn’t sure what I would do, but as I was doing my inspiration search, I found a past WMS sketch challenge (wmsc49). Since I wasn’t able to play the sketch challenge at the time, I thought it was a perfect time to do so!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. This is so beautiful and the Asian Gardens flowers are so delicate. I love that square lattice folder. Beautiful birthday card.

  2. Gorgeous!
OK, I have seen it all…a message told me I had to come back and leave a longer message!!! LOL….I need that on my cell phone!!! Or a message that says, the number you just recorded is not clear for a call back!!! LOL

  3. Lovely card! Asian Gardens is one of my favorite sets and you used it beautifully here. I’ve never thought of using that particular greenery image with the cherry blossom – what an inspired idea. I’ll tuck that one away for future use!!

  4. Wow…beautiful card. So soft and feminine and I love the colors you used. Your mother-in-law will surely love receiving such a lovely card.
