Dog(wood) & Butterfly

I created this card for the CAS-ual Friday challenge – Opposites Attract.

The stamp set was chosen with the random-file program that I use.

The layout is a Fall-to-Layout (#186).

I did the coloring with pencils; mostly because I knew I wanted the Dogwood blossoms to be white and pencils was the easiest way…so it just made sense to do the butterfly with the same medium.

Thanks for taking a peek!

thank you

  1. It’s so soft and Beautiful. I never do colored pencils. I have them, from when my kids were in school, and I rarely through things away. LOL I did do some coloring with them on stamped tissue paper eons ago, that was before I stamped on cards. I may have to try them. I think my fear is the shading. It’s easier for me to do aqua painting with SU reinkers and add layers of color, but I’ve been tooling around with Bic mark it’s to see if I want to invest in copics. I guess it’s really the same, adding layers of color. Your coloring is outstanding! ;)))

  2. Your post title has me singing the song by Heart now! LOL
