It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge: #33 – sketch.
And here is my take:
When I saw this sketch, using washi tape as a couple of the layers was the first thing that came to mind.
I love watching trends – and I usually buy whatever it is – but I hardly ever participate until well after the trend. I think this is the first time I’ve used washi!
I was worried about putting tape down, but I was really happy with how easy it was to pull it up and re-position it (a few times, lol).
Since this card is really simple, I added some dimension with lots of foam tape between the layers and embossing on the card base.

I love this Karen! I dont even own any washi tape but I love how it is used. Great colour choice – so crisp! xx
I too love this CAS card-I don’t have any washi either but this is a great example of how to use it x
I really like the bright, cheery colors and the ticket shape of the sentiment panel!
I’m with you, most trends are nearly finished before I often invest, ie I just bought my first rolled rose die lol. but I do have some washi that I mostly just ‘look at’… mmm thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your fabulous card!
Love that you used washi tape too! This sketch is perfect for it and I like the way you offset it too. lovely summery colours, a great CAS card

Never used washi tape but this is gorgeous Karen – might have to try some! – Jacqueline xx
