Frosty Season

Red & Green Snowflakes | by karen @ carefree creations

I squeezed in 3 challenges for this card: CAS Colours & Sketches #154, CASual Fridays: Snowflakes, and Simon Says Stamp – Monday: Holly Jolly Stamping

For the CC&S challenge we were to pick an old sketch and make it Christmasy. I chose CCS#31. I know snowflakes aren’t typically stamped in red and green, but I really am happy with how this turned out. I used my favorite Christmas color scheme: bright red & green with a pop of yellow. And bonus – this is a one-layer card!

  1. You have my mailing address, right? 🙂 Anyone would love to receive this card. It’s gorgeous! Even though those colors aren’t normally used for snowflakes, they are the quintessential Christmas colors and they lend a wonderful festive flair to your card. Thanks for sharing it with us at CC&S! It’s so good to see you joining in our challenges again – I’ve missed your work!

  2. Stunning use of non-traditional colours for your snowflakes. Shame you don’t have my address Karen – I’d fight you for this card Patricia. Thanks for playing this sketch challenge at CC&S.

  3. I think those snowflakes look fabulous stamped in the red and green. It’s traditional Christmas colours but with a twist! Fab card! Thanks for playing along at CAS-ual Fridays!
