Big Joy

It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge:

And here is my take:

Christmas Joy | by karen @ carefree creations

Since the focus is supposed to be the sentiment, I decided to keep the images to a minimum and add layers for dimension/interest. I took my inspiration from Susan Raihala’s style; she’s wonderful at doing layers in a clean & simple way.

I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!

Thanks for stopping by!

A Little About the Challenge: This weekly challenge is posted on Tuesday, and alternates between color and sketch (if there is a 5th week in the month you get the double dose of color & sketch).

Joy
Stamps: Berry Merry, Custom Tee (Stampin’Up – SU);
Ink: Graphite Brilliance (Tsukineko); Crushed Curry, Raspberry Ripple, Tranquil Tide, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede (SU);
Paper: White (SU);

  1. Love how you have layered the focal panel. The accents of the sentiment are so creative and pretty. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Hugs Bev x

  2. The white on white layers are a very elegant way to show off the pretty script of the sentiment and its embellishments. Terrific job! You know my mailing address, right? 😉
