It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge:
And here is my take:
When I made this card it was quite cold out, so while I did have some other ideas for this sketch, I ended up staying with a winter theme.
The way the sketch is colored, it seems like the wavy layer was on top of the focal panel and see-through — I liked that idea. Since vellum is such a pain for me (to stamp and adhere), I decided to stamp the branches over the focal panel and background. To get it all lined up, I used a MISTI.
The final layer of the bird is a grey ink (the same as the feet).
I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful card Karen. Love the winter theme – perfect for January! You did a wonderful job with the sketch. When I designed it I wasn’t sure if the swoosh should be over or under the panel, so I left it vague. Your interpretation is perfect – over the panel and under the image!
What a terrific take on the sketch! Your cardinal is gorgeous! I may have to look up that stamp… 😀
I love this card! So pretty.
