It is time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. Check out the latest challenge:
And here is my take:
After some time, I finally chose which stamp set I was going to use and was trying to figure out how to work in the Sahara Sand (what color IS that any way??). Since that is a pale color, I thought it would be good as a background element.
I started by stamping my focal sentiment in dark grey (kinda wishing I had gone dark brown instead, but ya know, done is done). Then filled in the back with the images from the sentiment stamp set. Finally, I stamped the leaves.
I hope you join us at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Thanks for stopping by!
A Little About the Challenge: This weekly challenge is posted on Tuesday, and alternates between color and sketch (if there is a 5th week in the month you get the double dose of color & sketch).
Ink: Old Olive, Pacific Point, Sahara Sand (SU); Espresso Truffle (Memento);
Paper: White (PTI);
Oh my gosh! This card is so fabulous!!! I LOVE this, Karen!
Love your card. Beautifully CAS!
I love the layers of stamping and the different ‘happy birthday’s you’ve used. A simple idea, so cleanly and beautifully executed.
I love the cascading leaves.
