It is time for a new CASology challenge. Check out the latest challenge – Sweetheart!
Here is my take:
I love this sheep set, but I don’t think I’ve actually used it yet. This little guy with the heart caught my eye for this challenge.
Since there isn’t much to it, I offset it on the card base and used a die to emboss a circle ’round it all. Well, I didn’t have a stitched circle so I faked it with the Arch die…and it works perfectly (and saved me a few bucks from having to buy a die that, until now, I didn’t think I needed).
Oh, and I have a tip for any newbies reading this. I don’t have the dies for this because they are fairly easy images to cut out, but I didn’t want a white outline, so I trimmed as close as I could. That leaves little bits of white that show up on dark cardstock (granted, probably wouldn’t have been much of a problem for this card). If you run a black marker around the edge of the cut out, it neatens it up and “finishes” it. See…
Check back next week when I’ll have more inspiration from this challenge!

This is darling!!! Love the pink cardbase alot.
Love the sheep sitting on the “you” and how you highlighted him with the debossing!
love how you used the embossed die this way-off the edge, a nice touch of texture. And not a newbie, but didn’t know that marker tip-so thanks for that…always learning! Adore the pink base, goes perfectly with the subtle shading of the sheep x
I love all the details in this design, Karen! Using the arch die on the side is a great tip and the way you have stacked the sheep and sentiment elements is just perfect.
I am the anti-fussy-cutter so I admire your ability! Such a cute little lambie!
It’s the detail on your cards that I love Karen – on this one, it’s the way you’ve grounded your sheep by sitting her on the ‘You’ and the way the ‘Y’ overlaps the sentiment banner. Gorgeous!
