Poppy Petals

It is PTI Blog Hop time! This month’s challenge was to use tissue paper. These tissue flowers have been around for (what feels like) forever, but I’ve never tried them myself, so I thought this would be a good time.

I recently purchased the Remember set – it has been on my list for a long time but each month PTI comes out with an awesome release so it has been hard to whittle down my wish list!

The flowers are made using white tissue paper. I punched out the shapes using the PTI flower dies. After I sponged on the color I stamped using the outline images. I kept the layers together with a black brad. Finally, some scrunching and artistic arranging. Easy peasy!

Thank You

  1. Karen I’m amazed too at the vibrant color you got with the white tissue paper. Pretty job folding it too for the smaller flowers.

  2. Gorgeous card Karen! I absolutely love how you stamped the image and then added the tissue paper flower. Why didn’t I think of that?!?! Also really like your layout, Im going to have to use that some day. ;0)

  3. This card is absolutely beautiful! I love how you replaced the stamped flowers with the tissue paper ones and I love the color. I would have never guessed you started with white tissue paper. Love it!
