I created this card for the EBTKS challenge #18 which was to use aluminum foil. I immediately thought about this robot set. I really wish it was bigger, but sometimes working with small images pushes me in the card design. I decided to go CAS with the card so the robot wouldn’t get lost on the card.
I will say I don’t ever want to cut any image out of foil again! I think I held my breath the entire time.

I love it – so cute! And you cut him out of foil??? Yikes, but you did an awesome job.
Karen, this is so cute! What a great idea to use foil for the robot, although cutting such a tiny image out of foil sounds like a daunting task to me! Great job!
WHAT?!?! You’re lying! You did not cut this guy with his skinny legs and arm(s) out of foil! I bow to the supreme paper cutter!! Not worthy!!
Love the springs you added to attached the screws and love the color combo. What a fantastic card!!
The “spare parts” are just the perfect accents to your aluminum foil robot. Great choice for this challenge.
Karen, those wire flowers are AWESOME! They caught my eye right away! Kudos to you for cutting out foil–gads, that must have been a challenge! Neat colors, your robot really stands out!
Believe me – it was not easy cutting that guy out, but so worth the effort! Thanks for the love 🙂
This is adorable, Karen! Love the spare parts!!!
What a cute card! I love the bolts and screws popping off! Thanks for playing with us in the EBTKS challenge! 🙂
Impressed. Amazed. Inspired. I don’t know how you did it but that little guy has to be one awesome robot! If you didn’t have to use foil and wanted to replicate this awesome card, I wonder if coloring him in with a silver pen would be a good option?
Woohoo! Did you see this featured on the Splitcoast Facebook page? Awesome!
Oh my gosh it’s amazing! I cannot believe you cut that image out, and I thought it was tricky doing a mermaid’s tail, but I think the robot trumps that!!! I love your use of wire they look like beads and the colours work so well together.
fantastic! <3 the foil and the little bits flying out 🙂
