My wonderful mom sent me the Punched Posies stamp set. Of course I promised I’d make a card for stamp camp using it.
I think mom’s customers know when I design a card because it usually ends up with the most eclectic collection of colors! I’m still not sure how I came up with this one.
I started this card knowing I wanted to do the punch window. I’ve seen it done by others and it isn’t something we’ve done in camp before. I used pop dots around the opening and regular tape on the rest of the layer.
Working long distance can be quite difficult. I do not have an extensive StampinUp collection (at least of “current” items). Like buttons for instance. I’ve mailed the card off to mom and she’s going to add a button to the flower center which I think will finish off the card just right.
Colors: Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Regal Rose, Real Red;
Other: red ribbon, scallop border punch, 5-petal flower punch, dimensionals;
Ooooh, love the color combo here, even if it is a bit “eclectic.” 😉 Love the popped-up, punched-out layer–a really cool effect I’ve been seeing a lot lately. Your mom’s stamp camp will be so trendy!
Nice color combo – I like the punched window with the flower peeking through – pretty.
I’ve never tried a punched window before. I’m feeling a bit of inspiration coming on now. 🙂
These are really fun colors for sure!! – – and the lil’ window with a button will be the perfect touch!
Cute! I’d be happy at stamp camp if we were making this card! Your mom sure is lucky to have your help, Karen!
Fun color combo-I love the font on the sentiment!
super cute! a button would be perfect! tell mom to send you some ;P
