The latest One-Layer Wednesday challenge is to use border stamps (olw17). I own a ton of wheels and don’t use them as often as I should.
Once I picked a wheel to use, the rest of the card fell together. Of course, after it was all colored I realized I should have added spots to the frog…but done is done – and it can’t be all bad…my youngest kiddo has already claimed this for their own birthday (9 months from now, lol).
I guess practice does help – I am definitely feeling easier about making one-layer cards.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hoppy Birthday

A really cute card! I am always in awe of those who use those wheels straight! Even with I guide, I struggle. And, your coloring is just fabulous! I never noticed the missing spots until you mentioned it! Just pretend it was intentional to leave off the spots and no one will ever know!
well, if it is 9 yr. old approved then it is gold!! and she is right, it is a very cute card!! Glad your practice it making you feel better about one layer cards!!
Carol: my wheels don’t stay wheels. I unmount them as soon as I get them. I found I never used them in wheel format, but once I unmounted them they became a lot more user friendly for me.
this is a great card. great use of this stamp set…
Karen, how do you get the stamps to adhere to the acrylic block when you take them off the wheel?
This card is simply adorable!! I love the frog…and I need the “hoppy birthday” sentiment!
this card is the best one layer i think i’ve ever seen… lots of depth in the coloring 🙂
