PTI + Gold: Blog Hop

Today is the 25th of the month, which means it is time for a Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

This month’s theme is gold.

by Karen @ carefree creations - Gold Anniversary

One of the things I pin a lot is photos of manicured nails. I used this one as the inspiration for my card (I re-pinned someone else’s pin – and it doesn’t go to the original photo, so I’m not sure how to credit this…sorry!):

I drew a light line down the center of the card. I used that line to center my sentiment and paper panels.

The black panel is stamped with the fleur de lis border image and clear embossed.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Happy Anniversary

  1. Hahaha! I was thinking, “Why does she pin photos of nails? How many ways can you photograph a nail?” And then I clicked on the link, and realised you were talking about fingernails, not carpentry nails, LOL! Your card is so elegant, Karen. Really beautiful, and definitely a great take on the inspiration. 🙂

    • hee hee I fixed it (maybe). I probably should add the fingernail photo in my post, but I’m never sure about the proper-ness of that.

  2. Gorgeous!! I love how you drew inspiration from that photo. The card is super – elegant and understated at the same time.
