Winter Scene

I created this card as soon as I received my In the Meadow stamps & dies. I never did play in the PTI Make it Monday where you layered dies to create frames…so I did that for this card.

The card is pretty straight-forward. I did hand-cut the hill.

Bells & Boughs

I created quite a few Christmas cards for my mom’s StampinUp business. These two I’m posting today are both done with Bells & Boughs (so happy this set made it to the big catalog!).

This first card, while it may seem similar to other cards I’ve posted, this one is actually the first one I created – and it is also my favorite Christmas card I’ve created this year!

The greenery on this card was created with the pines from Lovely as a Tree. The bells are watercolored, cut out, and popped-up.

This second card needed to be a quick and easy card for stamp camp.

I started by stamping the Sahara panel with the holly image. I sponged around the edge of the panel to help pop it from the card base. The rest of the card should be fairly obvious – a little embossing, some ribbon, and a die cut.

Christmas Bells

I really love this color scheme and layout for bells!

Using the PaperTrey Ink dies made this a very easy card to pull together. Also, instead of using a wheel or other “border” type set to create the music background, I pulled out an old StampinUp background – just one quick inking and the background was done!

This is the last of my mailable Christmas cards – I hope you enjoyed them and maybe even got some inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Lights

I have been wanting a Christmas light strand set. I had one on my wish list for a couple years, but never bought it – and I’m so glad I didn’t. I love this set by PaperTrey.

I have lots of ideas for this set, but for this card, I kept it very simple.

Sleigh Ride

While I was at mom’s house this summer, I was able to pick-up some old retired rubber she was selling.

I love the little scene in this set!

I wanted a pop of color, which I accomplished with the bit of holly. That bit of holly also allowed me to include ribbon on my card without adding a knot or bow – so the card stayed flat and mailable.

Chilly Spark

I’m interrupting my week of mailable Christmas cards so I can post this card…hope you don’t mind 🙂

I recently bought a bunch of Paper Smooches stamps – I love the cute designs! As I was checking out their website I found their challenge website: Paper Smooches Sparks.

The current inspiration challenge is photo of a frame arrangement. The blue and white color scheme made me think “cold”, and that is what I used as my inspiration to create my card.

Festive Foliage

One of my favorite Waltzing Mouse sets is Festive Foliage because I love holly and these have big bold images. The set is so easy to use – and it pairs up so well with the Compliments of the Season sentiment set.

Inspired Christmas

This card is a mash-up of cards by Nicole Heady and Maile Belles. I really loved Nichole’s layout on this card (see original post). I changed up the colors as a starter.

The make-up of the wreath is pulled from Maile’s card (see original post).

To finish up the card, I impressed the bottom inch of the vanilla panel to add a bit of texture.

Christmas Re-Makes

I make Christmas cards for a family friend. She needs about 25 cards. I truly do not enjoy making that many cards of one design, so I normally do about 4 each of 7 designs (that means she has a couple extras just in case).

My main goal for the cards I make for her is that they be easily mailable (i.e., flat). I have a hard time with flat – I always want to add at least a bow…but I love all seven designs. This week I’ll be showing off those cards.

These first two designs I’m showing here are actually re-makes of cards I created before.

First up is a card using StampinUp’s Tree Trimming set. I love this forest green and gold combination that I used in the previous card (see if here). This time around I chose to leave off the sentiment panel and just emboss it directly on the card base (much less distracting).

I must say embossing is so much easier with good quality, fresh powder!

My other re-make is a favorite of mine (view the original). I only changed the colors – but I love this new color scheme and that is why I’m sharing it. This time around I used Aqua Mist and Lavender Moon.

Stop by again all week to see more Christmas cards.

Pretty Garden

I created this card for the weekly CAS challenge on SCS (cas146) which was a sketch. I’ve been doing lots of bright fun cards lately so I decided I’d make a pretty one today.

I started by picking the paper which then of course provided my color palette. Then I just needed to find the right stamp set. I ordered this set months ago because I love it, but it actually hadn’t seen ink yet. You can’t see it in the photo, but the card base is embossed with a “line” texture.
